CSC is hosting Latino Parent Night at Showalter Middle School in Tukwila
Please join us on Tuesday, May 18 at 6:30 pm to celebrate the year of service that our Parent Leaders have completed, leading Reading and Math groups at Cascade View, Thorndyke, Tukwila and Showalter. We will celebrate with dinner, a raffle, bouncy houses and facepainters for the kids to enjoy. Please contact Rosa Pena, Latino Liaison PenaR (at) tukwila.wednet.edu if you plan on attending.

CSC participates in Girls on the Run 5K at Seward Park on May 22
CSC will take 51 girls from four of our elementary sites to participate in the Girls on the Run 5K event at Seward Park on May 22nd.  Girls from grades 4 and 5 will participate with Girls on the Run participants from across King County.  Girls on the Run is a 8 week program that focuses on physical activity and healthy lifestyle skills.  Each girl has a running buddy that motivates and runs with her at the 5K Run.  This event is a celebration of their completion of the program.

Washington State Smile Partners offer Dental Screenings & Services at Showalter in June
The Washington State Smile Partners is returning to Tukwila from June 1 to  June 11!   All students will receive free dental screenings and in addition to the screenings and referrals for follow-up care, those who return a permission slip will also receive sealants, cleanings, and fluoride treatment.  CSC partners with Delta Dental Smilemobile to provide the follow-up services for the students.  For more information, contact Meagan Darrow at meagan@cscwa.org.
