"CSC is helping create a more stable population. The number of students & parents participating in the programs has grown significantly each year. Simultaneously, the community’s mobility rate has steadily declined.”

“CSC has great staff that engages students in learning activities. It also has a built in homework/reading time, which is a huge help to our students, parents, and staff at school.”

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved with the Tukwila Elementary after school program. This is a wonderful program that benefits the children as well as the parents. The program is fun and educational. They schedule time for homework and work on social skills by playing games and other group activities. It helps to know my son is comfortable and has a safe place to go after school.”

"CSC has helped my son and I immensely. Had it not been for CSC, I would not have a chance to get my hours in at work as I am a single mother. I have no one to watch Kale after school other than the CSC program. It has also helped with Kale's homework. This program makes things easier for me after I pick Kale up, we are able to spend time together other than doing homework. I know Kale likes the program as well, he has fun and he loves the staff. I honestly do not know what we would do without this program. If I had to pay for two hours of daycare per day, it would literally break us."

“I just wanted to let you know how pleased everyone is with the after-school book club that your Latino Parent Ambassador, Sandra, has been doing! She has really motivated the parents and the students and I'm SOOOO proud of her! Great work at motivating such wonderful leaders in our school!”

“I have to pass along a testimonial about a student from Africa who learned to swim. She could not understand much English as she is new to this country and could not swim at all. By demonstrating skills, persistence and hard work, she now can safely swim across the pool and has learned several strokes, and feels confident in the water.
Another non-swimmer had two lessons and mastered the survival float and the elementary back stroke. He can swim well underwater and has the beginnings of the breast stroke and crawl. This student is a straight "A" bright kid who is a good athlete but was a bit embarrassed about not being able to swim.
I'm particularly invested in our kids learning to swim as I love open water swimming myself.”

"I want to take a moment to let everyone involved in the CSC program know how extremely fortunate I am that my children are attending the after school program at Tukwila Elementary School. The Program is truly wonderful. As a single mom who works and is a full-time student at Central Washington University, having a safe and caring environment for my children has helped me tremendously. My children love all the different activities that they get to do, and they even enjoy homework time. They always have great things to say when I pick them up. This is accredited to your amazing staff that truly enjoys working with children and love what they do. I can see it in the way your staff interacts with the students. I can't say enough how much this program has helped me, and I hope it will continue for a long time."
